Because of her, we can: HEAL

In the lead up to NAIDOC Week 2018, Because of her, we can: HEAL will bring together a selection of this mob’s female & gender non-conforming artists, drawing focus to the ways in which we heal.

Mentored over two sessions by established Indigenous artists, these emerging inter- disciplinary creatives ofer insight into their processes of self-care, and how they manifest growth through their practice.

This project is dedicated to empowering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and gender non- conforming peoples by providing space and time to make deep connections with one-another, to encourage self-love and emphasise the importance of looking after ones self.

this mob is a collective of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists. this mob facilitates spaces and events that aim to build strength between First Nations peoples, celebrate blakness, and destroy imposed boundaries that try to inhibit our creativity and culture.
